IPA Waters River Hiz Arlesey

The Hiz is one of the main Ivel tributories and has it's own tributories in the Purwell and Oughton. The IPA have retained this bit of river as it a pure chalk stream and has in the past produced some beautiful roach. A recent survey by the Environment Agency found a number of brown trout along the river. This is not a main fishery and the IPA retains this as a source for stocking the headwaters. Worth a walk along as there are some really great features and pools in this section travel light and try a few of these out.
